PETER DINNICK is the Assistant General Counsel, Upstream, Imperial Oil Limitedin Calgary. Mr. Dinnick graduated fromUniversity of Adelaide (South Australia) with a B.Sc. Honors Degree in Geologyin 1985 and worked in the Australian mining industry (gold & nickel) withWestern Mining Corporation before returning to law school in 1987. He was subsequently admitted to the Bar inSouth Australian in 1991 and worked in private practice until joining EssoAustralia's Law Dept in mid 1994 (also gaining admission to the Bar in theState of Victoria). Mr. Dinnickundertook various assignments within Esso Australia's Law Dept before beingassigned to the Law Dept of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited in 2004, as theInternational Contracts & Projects Manager. Between July 2007 and May 2012 Mr. Dinnickwas the General Counsel of Exxon Neftegas Limited (ENL), operator of the Sakhalin1 Project, based in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Sakhalin Island (Far East Russia) andExxonMobil Russia Inc (Moscow) and manager of the Law function in Russia forExxon Mobil. He assumed his currentposition in May 2012.
