MARCO PETTA is a Managing Director in the Market Infrastructure Group of RBC Capital Markets. In this capacity, Marco manages the implementation of over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives reform initiatives globally for RBC CM. He also works closely with various industry associations involved in OTC derivatives reform. Prior to joining RBC, Marco was Special Director, OTC Derivatives Market Initiatives at the Bank of Canada and Chair of the Canadian Inter-Agency Working Group on OTC Derivatives, which coordinates Canadian authorities’ implementation of G20 commitments to reform OTC derivatives markets. In this role, Marco also co-managed the Bank of Canada’s OTC derivatives policy analysis, and collaborated with the Governor’s Toronto-based Special Advisors. Marco’s prior experience also includes management consulting in the Toronto-based financial services practice of the Boston Consulting Group, private equity investing with Birch Hill Equity Partners in Toronto, and banking with Citigroup in New York. Marco received his HBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, and his MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
