MARGARET GROTTENTHALER is the partner in charge of legal research and writing in the Toronto office of Stikeman Elliott. Her practice is focused on writing reasoned opinions on a wide variety of issues for clients of the firm. A significant part of her practice deals with the structuring, enforcement, and collateralization of OTC derivatives products; monetizations; securities lending; and repurchase and reverse repurchase transactions. She is co-chair of the firm’s National Knowledge Management Committee and chair of the Opinions Committee. She was called to the bar a long time ago. Specialties include OTC derivatives, structured finance, securities lending, prime brokerage, legal research, and legal writing.
