ALBERTOMASSA isthe Consul General for the Consulate of Peru in Houston. Born on May 25, 1952 inLima, Peru, he holds a degree in International Affairs from the DiplomaticAcademy of Peru. He is married to Mrs. Stella Cardoso de Massa and has twodaughters. As a writer, he has published five novels and several articles.  Currently a member of the Peruvian DiplomaticService, he has served in different areas while stationed in the ForeignMinistry’s headquarters in Lima and abroad, including as the Consul General ofPeru in Houston, Texas (March 1, 2013 to present), as Commissioner General forthe Expo Yeosu 2012, Republic of Korea (2010 – 2012), as Consul General inShanghai, Popular Republic of China – Deputy Commissioner General for the ExpoShanghai, 2010 (2008 to 2010), as Consul General in Los Angeles, United Statesof America (2004 to 2008), as Consul General of Peru in Bogota, Colombia and MinisterCounselor of the Peruvian Embassy in Colombia (1996 to 2001), with the PeruvianEmbassy in the Federal Republic of Germany, Chargé d’Affairs, MinisterCounselor (1993 to 1994), with the Peruvian Embassy in Bolivia (1988 to 1993),and as Permanent Representative of Peru to the International Organizationsbased in Geneva, Switzerland –UN (1979 to 1985).
