RICHARDTHIR is Contract Maintenance Manager, Field Accommodations,for Cenovus Energy Inc. RichardThir was born and raised in Cold Lake Alberta where he currently resides withhis wife of 12 years, his daughter who's 11 and son 8.  Richard has worked in theconstruction/maintenance industry for more than 15 years. He obtained hisInterprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Certification in 2002 from Lakeland Collegeand his Blue Seal in 2014. Following this certification, Richard worked as aMaintenance Electrician and in various Project Management roles.  For the past 4 years, Richard has beenemployed by Cenovus Energy in various contract positions starting as a MaintenanceSupervisor. He now holds the position of Field Accommodations MaintenanceManager with responsibilities across all Cenovus assets in NorthernAlberta.  Richard earned his MMP(Maintenance Management Professional) certificate through Northern LakesCollege in 2014 and now holds an MMP designation from PEMAC (PetroleumEngineering Maintenance Association Canada). Richard received his certificationin entry-level water/wastewater management through the AWWOA. He also holds acertificate in Aboriginal Relations Leadership from the University of Calgary.
