CHRISTOPHERWIRTH is litigation counsel with KeelCottrelle LLP in Toronto, practicing primarily in the area of commerciallitigation, professional discipline, libel and slander, health law,administrative law, securities litigation, employment litigation, injunctions,appeals and judicial reviews. He has aB.A. in Economics from the University of Toronto (1986), an L.L.B. from theUniversity of British Columbia (1989) and was called to the Bar in 1991. He isthe author of Interlocutory Proceedings and the co-author of O'BriensEncyclopedia of Forms – Division VIII – Civil Litigation. He has written and spoken on a number oftopics, ranging from Civil Remedies for Fraudulent Activity to Strict Liabilityfor Blood and Blood Products and Employment Law. He has also been a seminar instructor for theLaw Society of Upper Canada's Bar Administration Course. Chris has appearedbefore the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the DivisionalCourt, Superior Court of Justice, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, theFederal Court of Canada and the Saskatchewan Court of Queen's Bench. He also regularly appears before manyprofessional and regulatory bodies and at coroners' inquests. He also acts as an independent legal advisorto a number of administrative tribunals. Chris is a member of the Ontario BarAssociation's Governing Council and a member of the Executive of both its CivilLitigation and Administrative Law Sections. He is also a member of the Advocates' Society, the Canadian BarAssociation, the Toronto Lawyers' Association, AD IDEM/Media Lawyers Associationand the American Association for Justice.
