DANIEL MURDOCH is a litigator practising in Stikeman Elliott's Toronto office. Prior to joining Stikeman Elliott In 2006, Dan practiced at Dewey Ballantine LLP in New York. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and insolvency and restructuring matters. Dan’s litigation practice has a particular focus on securities and other class actions, and he is also involved in a wide range of commercial matters, including shareholder disputes, insurance, employment, real estate and franchise disputes. Among other engagements in securities class actions, Dan is part of the team acting for Timminco Limited and certain of its directors and officers, he acted for defendant underwriters in the Allen-Vanguard securities class action, and he acted for Redline Communications and certain of its directors and officers. Dan also acts for debtors, Monitors, creditors and other stakeholders in CCAA, receivership and bankruptcy proceedings.
