JASONROTH is a partner at Bennett Jones LLP and is co-head of thefirm's construction law practice group. He acts for energy companies on a broadrange of commercial transactions, both in Canada and internationally. Energyfirms benefit from Jason's assistance with purchase and sale transactions,supply arrangements and international and domestic energy construction-relatedprojects. Jason specializes in energy development projects, particularly in thedrafting and negotiation of engineering, construction and procurementdocumentation related to such projects. From 2005 to 2006, Jason acted for theQatar Liquefied Gas Company Limited (II) Project in Doha, Qatar. TheUS$12-billion project, believed to the biggest deal in the history of thehydrocarbon industry at the time, will supply 15 mpta of liquefied natural gasfrom Qatar to the UK and north Europe by the winter of 2007-08. Jason has alsoworked for a major international law firm in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2008, Jasonwas on secondment as general counsel with TAQA North Ltd., the Canadiansubsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC, and has experience assistingforeign-based entities with development of their Canadian energy assets.
