MAUREENSULLIVAN is the President of NECI. Maureen Sullivan has been aninstructor with NECI since 1995. From 2004 – 2010, as part of the NECI team,she was a curriculum designer and instructor for the Procurement and ContractManagement Program (PCMP). In 2010, Maureen managed the curriculum developmentprocess for the Public Sector Procurement Program (PSPP). The PSPP wasaccredited by the Supply Chain Sector Council in October of 2011, and theproject also won the Summit Award of Excellence for Leadership in PublicProcurement in November, 2011. In December, 2009, Maureen assumed ownership ofNECI and has been busy filling the role of President and Legal Editor andPublisher of NECI’s quarterly newsletter, The Legal Edge. An experiencedlitigator, mediator and dispute-resolution practitioner, Maureen has anin-depth knowledge of both procurement law and contracting issues. She also hasparticular expertise in negotiations. Renowned for her engaging teaching style,one of Maureen’s many strengths is her ability to integrate legal concepts withbusiness practices, making often-difficult concepts accessible andunderstandable for learners at all levels. Maureen also trains and mentors newinstructors and oversees the updating of the Public Sector Procurement Programand Signature Seminar curriculums. She holds her Certified TrainingPractitioner (CTP) designation through the Canadian Society for Training andDevelopment.
