KEVIN THOMAS is the Manager of the Policy, Promotion andResearch Division in the Compliance Branch at the Financial Consumer Agency ofCanada. As such, he provides expertise and advice to senior management withrespect to policy issues related to consumer financial protection. In addition,Kevin is responsible for conducting research on emerging trends and issues inthe financial sector and promoting the work of the Compliance branch to bothconsumers and the industry. Kevin joined the agency in 2011 and prior tojoining FCAC, he held several positions with the Department of Finance, includingin the Financial Sector and International Trade policy branches. He holds aMaster of Arts in Business Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University.
