DOUG S. DUNN is the Site Director for the Mackenziehospital campus for the University of Alberta Hospital, Stollery Children’sHospital, Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, the Cross Cancer Institute andthe Kaye Edmonton clinic. This portfolio contains two LEAD silver buildings,the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and the Kaye Edmonton clinic. Thecampus size currently is approximately 6 million square feet. Doug hasspecialized in the areas of Energy Management and IAQ and his portfolioincludes building control, energy management, instrumentation, refrigeration,and acting as the Facilities Management lead on Capital Projects focusing onsystem integration and energy conservation. Facilities under Doug’s leadershiphave received awards and recognition for energy management and operationalstrategies locally, nationally and internationally and he is currentlyresponsible for a multi-million dollar utility budget. Implemented initiativescurrently save the facilities over 2.2 million annually. He has presentedpapers on energy conservation strategies to ASHRAE, AEE and CHES as well ashaving provided input to other facilities in areas of energy conservation
