MICHAEL PAWLIW is a FormerRegional Director, Central Regional Office, of FINTRAC and public speaker in areas ofMoney Laundering and Terrorist Financing. In addition to his public sectorservice Michael has previous private sector experience as: a CAMLO of a foreignbank ; a Director of Compliance in a major insurance company; and a variety ofroles in IT, audit and retail banking and investments with a major Canadian Bank.  Michael currently remains active in the areasof money laundering and terrorist financing compliance through advisory andconsultative engagements including work with the CPA Canada’s AML/ATFCommittee.  Michael has a bachelorsdegree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier.
