PHILIPPE SARFATI is ManagingDirector, with Promontory Financial GroupCanada ULC. Philippe advises clients in credit, market, andoperational risk management, including risk review, integrated risk policy andstress testing. He spent more than 20 years at the Bank of Montreal in riskmanagement and various roles in commercial, corporate and international bankingincluding global transaction services. Prior to joining Promontory, he waschief risk officer at Coast Capital Savings, a credit union in BritishColumbia, where he oversaw the development and implementation of the firm'sintegrated risk management framework. Philippe also served as director and headof credit risk at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, where he developedand implemented a credit and counterparty risk management framework for thepension fund's portfolios of private debt, commercial real estate, andfinancial institutions. He also held senior risk management positions at EDSCanada and PMI Group.
