TERESA FRICK is Director ofCompliance, Compliance and EnforcementBranch, at the Financial Consumer Agencyof Canada (FCAC). She leads a team of professional compliancestaff who work with federally regulated financial entities to promote thecompliance to consumer protection measures that apply to them.  Ms. Frick has had a varied career in both thepublic and private sectors. After almost ten years working in the financialindustry, in both retail and commercial banking, Ms. Frick joined the FCAC in2005. She has held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility at theAgency in both the Compliance and Enforcement, and Research branches. As SeniorCompliance Officer, Teresa implemented the branch’s Compliance Framework, theprocess that outlines the various ways FCAC oversees compliance pursuant to theFCAC Act.  Most recently, Ms. Frick wenton assignment to the Department of Finance working with the Consumer IssuesSection of the Financial Sector Policy Branch. She was heavily involved inmanaging numerous key consumer-related financial sector policy issues and sheplayed an integral role in developing recent federal consumer protectionregulations and voluntary commitments. Ms. Frick holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major inaccountancy from Concordia University in Montreal as well as her PersonalFinancial Planner designation.
