DEENAHPATEL isthe Program Director, Worldwide Digital & Software-as-a-Service Marketingat IBM Canada Ltd since April 2014. She is responsible for leading aninternational team of marketers focused on IBM's Cloud and SmarterInfrastructure digital go-to-market strategy and partnering across the businessand industry to develop new and innovative ways to build momentum and forgegrowth for IBM's Software-as-a-Service solutions and capabilities.  Deenah brings over 18 years of marketing andsales experience to the role based on her diverse background and assignments. Beforerejoining the Marketing profession, Deenah was a Client Executive for thelargest Canadian retail bank in Canada where she contributed to significantgrowth in Insurance, Retail Banking and Enterprise Corporate Functions. Aconsecutive-year member of IBM’s 100% Club for Performance, she also led IBM’sFinancial Services Front Office Transformation initiative with focus on clientcentricity and multi-channel transformation. Prior to that, Deenah spent 2years in Human Resources managing IBM’s Corporate Diversity and InclusionOffice. Her mandate was to infuse diversity, as a strategic imperative, acrossthe organization. Before joining IBM’s Corporate Division, Deenah wasresponsible for Executive and Internal Communications for IBM’s IntegratedTechnology Services.  Career milestonesinclude: writing the 5 year growth strategy for Global Technology Services,spearheading a strategic marketing framework methodology -- now usedworld-wide, and the creation of a Canadian-unique services offering launchedglobally.  Before joining IBM, Deenahworked at Digital Security Controls as a Brand Manager and Market Analyst – andstarted her career at a boutique consulting firm, Strongbar Industries, as aMarketing Coordinator. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a Mastersof Business Administration, Deenah also pursued her Post Graduate Certificationin Marketing Management and has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Politics andBusiness Administration. A health conscious individual, she owns StrategicHealth, offering chiropractic care and a myriad of health services to corporateclients in the greater Toronto area.
