VIRGINIE HOTTE-DUPUIS is Manager ofExternal Communications & Philanthropy at L’Oréal Canada since 2007. With acareer spanning nearly 20 years in the cosmetics industry, Ms. Hotte-Dupuisbegan her career as a beauty expert for a major Canadian drugstore chain whereshe learned (almost) all the trade secrets of the beauty and personal careindustry! She joined L’Oréal Canada in 2001 as a Trainer and PR specialist forthe Active Cosmetics Division and its dermo-cosmetics brands such as Vichy andLa Roche-Posay, two of the most recommended brands by Canadian dermatologists.She then moved on to the L’Oréal Luxe division as a Communications Manager forthe Biotherm brand, where she was responsible for managing the PRcampaign around the brand’s first North American spokesperson, actor ChrisNoth. She joined the L’Oréal Canada Corporate Communications team in 2007. Hermain responsibilities are to highlight L’Oréal Canada’s best practices, anddevelop the L’Oréal Foundation’s international philanthropic programs such as L’Oréal-UNESCOFor Women and Science and Look Good Feel Better in Canada. Ms. Hotte-Dupuis studiedCommunications at the Université de Montréal, where she obtained a BA inCommunications and a Major in English Studies. She is a mother of two and inher (very little!) spare time she enjoys reading novels, going to the moviesand tap dancing.
